Mollie Beeman… After majoring in Humanities at San Diego State University, Mollie Beeman worked as a paralegal for a patent and trademark law firm. Mollie is currently focused on her family and volunteering in her sons’ classrooms and beyond. Over the years, Mollie has served as a Music Docent, Art Docent, and Nature Docent. Mollie has also been extensively involved in the annual PHEF dinner and auction, and served as co-chair of the event two years in a row. Mollie enjoys event planning, crafting and working with people. Mollie and her husband, Chris have two sons, Jack and Ben, aged 11 and 9.
Kathleen Boice is a health care executive specializing in clinical process redesign, risk management and regulatory compliance. For the past 13 years, she has worked with Sutter Health in Bay Area and Sacramento Area hospitals and physician groups. Her experience prior to Sutter Health included philanthropy and funding development for small hospital systems and health-related non-profit organizations. Kathleen, her husband, Eric, and their two children are residents within the reach of the Placer Hills Education Foundation’s service area. Upon relocating from the Bay Area to the foothills in 2006, she saw the PHEF as a vehicle to give back to their new community and a practical way to support local education for current and future students.
Benet Jones is a self-employed financial accounting consultant and retired real estate broker. Over the past 30 years, she has been chief financial officer for real estate, legal, construction, and non-profit companies. For many years, Benet has volunteered her time to the Placer Hills Union School District. She has helped in the classroom, on field trips, served as art docent, and treasure for the district’s 2005 special parcel tax election. Benet is also an art photographer for the district’s online Artsonia project. She received her associated degree in business and accounting from Belleview Community College in Bellevue Washington. Benet had her husband Jerry of 40 years have lived in the Aurburn/Meadow Vista for most of their married life. They have four grown children and are now blessed with 12-year-old twin daughters who attend Weimar Hills School. Benet and Jerry enjoy the advantages and beauty of living in our small foothill community.
Bret McCord, is a sales manager for a Bay Area Company specializing in Radiant Heating and Hydronics. He was a General and Plumbing Contractor in the Meadow Vista Area in the 90’s and attended American River College. As a military brat, he grew up in Taiwan and Guam and was an exchange student in Germany during his junior year at Placer High School. Bret has coached soccer for over 20 years and is on the Placer Hills Youth Soccer board currently working on the summer soccer camps. He enjoys traveling and camping with his wife Amy and three kids, Adam, Ciana, and Aliya. His favorite part of volunteering for the Placer Hills Educational Foundation is working on the annual dinner and auction.
Holly Michael and her family relocated to the west coast three years ago when her husband, Jeff, took the job as Director of the Business Forecasting Center at University of the Pacific. Her family moved to the Placer Hills School District in the fall of 2010 looking for a better school and community climate. Holly does research from home for a small consulting firm in environmental economics. She holds a B.A in Biology from Colby College and an M.S. in Resource Economics and Policy from the University of Maine. Holly and Jeff have two daughters, Lydia, who currently attends Weimar Hills School, and Haley, a freshman at Colfax High School. Working part-time from home has allowed Holly to be involved in volunteering at school and in her children’s activities. Holly is excited to be a supporter of PHEF which provides a great opportunity for parents and community members to reinforce education locally
