PHEF Thanks You Ice Cream Social a Big Hit
An estimated 250 people attended the first ever PHEF Thanks You Ice Cream Social at Sierra Hills School on Friday, October 22, 2010. Due to the unanticipated response to this event, 150 yummy Schoolhouse Yogurts were served in less than 20 minutes. A quick trip to Holiday Market by Cheryl Beninga replenished the ice cream supply so that everyone who wanted ice cream got it. The last treat was handed out at 3:45pm, just before the inclement weather moved into the area. Thirty-eight people signed up to receive this newsletter. Greetings & Welcome to all the new recipients! Based on the turnout and support, next year’s Ice Cream Social will be even better!
It was learned at this event that quite a few folks are unfamiliar with PHEF and how The Foundation supports the amazing programs at Sierra Hills and Weimar Hills Schools.
